Lord of the Rings: War in the North
Set just before Frodo meets Aragorn in the Prancing Pony pub of the original movie, this is an action-RPG game featuring 3 characters (the dwarf, Elf and Ranger) who have to play together to win.
The Shadow of Sauron is growing in the North and its up to our 3 heroes to stem its tide. Your ultimate goal is to defeat his lieutenant Agandaur.
There are all the elements of a RPG game: the pub with characters to get missions from, the obligatory Ironsmith and chatting with strangers in the street.
In melees you battles the enemy in close combat or in range combat. In close combat you have a limited variety of killer moves. Mostly of which are regular strikes or a heavier one. After a while you will find this action a bit repetitive.
Dying can happen a lot throughout this game. Well, it’s not quite dying, You end up crawling on the ground waiting for your comrades to revive your fortunes.
There are some truly excellent moments like when you free the great eagle Beleram. The visual treat is of a giant eagle diving and killing the enemies in one feel swoop. If you love RPG games and the LoTR stories, then this is a game for you!
